Birth Doula Support

From our first meeting all the way through your pregnancy and labour I make it a priority to get to know you and help you prepare for the birth you want. I take the time to build a genuine connection with you. Together, we can work on any fears or concerns you might have, use tools to release them to build your trust & your confidence. Birth Doula support includes:

  • Free initial meeting to answer any questions you might have, get to know each other, and talk through any of your concerns or needs.

  • Two pre-birth preparation sessions at your home, so we get to know each other well. These normally take place around your 26th and 36th week. This is where I help you prepare for the birth that you want.

  • During these sessions together, we go through what you can expect to happen during your labour. We can address any fears or concerns you may have, and find ways to overcome them. We can use various tools to release any worries and build your confidence and trust in yourself.

  • It's important to understand that mindset plays a crucial role in the birthing process. By having the right mindset and knowledge about childbirth, along with tools to use whenever you might need them. My role is to help you feel confident and supported in your choices throughout your birth.

  • I will help you go through your birth preferences. Together, we’ll discuss your feelings around birth and pregnancy to create a plan that feels right for you.

  • I will be by your side during your birth and support you in any way I can. I’ll remind you of all you have learned during our antenatal sessions, so you feel empowered and confident. If you have a birth partner with you, we’ll work together as a team to hold space for you during your birth, so you feel safe and supported.

  • Guide and support you offering the necessary information to help you make well-informed decisions that feel right for you, while suggesting holistic pain relief methods such as massage, water, focused breathing, relaxation techniques and aromatherapy to help create a positive and calm birth environment.

  • During the first few hours after birth, I will be by your side to help you get comfortable and settled. I will support you with initial breastfeeding so you maintain those first golden hours.

  • We will then have one postnatal visit to talk through the birth and help you with any questions or concerns you might have in those early days.

  • On call 10 days before your due date until your baby's birth. Night or day.

  • Access to my birth library.

Postpartum Doula Support

As your postnatal doula, my role is to "mother the mother". I offer peaceful, emotional, practical support following the birth of your baby. The postnatal period is such a special time, it should be honoured, supported and protected.

It is a time to slow things down, recover and rest. I want to encourage, nourish and support you so you can spend the first weeks after birth resting with your baby to promote healing, recovery and bonding.

Here are some of the ways I can help you build your family cocoon.

  • I am here to support you and your family emotionally. Providing a non-judgmental ear. Debriefing your birth and helping you navigate your feelings and emotions.

  • I am a certified massage therapist. Each session can include a rejuvenating or relaxing massage aimed at relieving physical tension and promoting relaxation. I specialise in postnatal massages, which can be carried out while the baby is latched and feeding, or comfortably nestled next to the mother or in the same room. We’ll work around you and the baby.

  • Make sure you feel nurtured and cared for. Prepare healthy, delicious, and nutritious meals and snacks, keeping you hydrated with healing postpartum teas and giving nutritional guidance and support.

  • Baby care guidance; feeding support whether breast/bottle/mixed feeding. Understanding optimal feeding patterns and positions, and discussing any difficulties. Soothing techniques, first bath or baby wearing.

  • I am a qualified maternity nurse. I am knowledgeable and experienced in regards to newborn care, and can also offer holistic mother and baby centered maternity nurse services.

  • Helping you understand your baby’s needs and newborn development, observing your baby's cues.

  • Sharing self care tips and allowing you to rest, sleep, recover and recharge while I look after your baby for you.

  • Sharing postnatal recipes, nutritional advice, and discussing your postnatal recovery.

The rest package includes six customised three hour visits which can be flexible week by week.

  • The sessions are aimed at aiding you in your recovery, providing much-needed rest, and helping you transition into the next chapter of life with your little one.

  • Unlimited text/email/phone support should you require any help or have questions in between appointments.

    Rest Package starts at £540

My cooking is focused on providing you with delicious and nutritious meals that are tailored to your specific needs. Whether you are a new mother looking to support your postpartum recovery and lactation, or simply someone who values the benefits of a well-rounded diet, I am here to help.

Please find below a few examples of the meals I can prepare for you.

How does it work?

  1. I organise a visit with you.

  2. You pick two meals from my menu to cook during the visit. We can make recipe adjustments as needed based on your preferences or dietary needs.

  3. I purchase ingredients and come to cook in your kitchen. While the delicious food is simmering i am available to support you any way that is most helpful to you at that time.

  4. Each meal typically makes 4-6 portions, which you can store in the fridge and eat with your family or partially freeze if desired.

  5. I leave the kitchen clean at the end of my visit.

  6. I also offer a convenient service where I cook meals in my own home and deliver them straight to your doorstep. These meals are carefully crafted to ensure that they can be easily stored in your freezer or reheated for a quick and satisfying meal.
